-Card Counting-

Blackjack is the most popular table game in online casino's. The reason its so popular is because blackjack is a game of skill. Too often the same people who are attracted to the game because of the skill element usually don't have the skill to play the it properly. Since the 60's blackjack has been revolutionized by experts who anlayzed the game and developed advanced strategies for obtaining a mathematical advantage over the house. Such players called card counters are usually banned from most casinos. Card counters have an advantage over the rest of us because of the skill they developed by counting the cards and knowing whats left in the deck or what the other people are holding. This is why there banned from most casinos.

 

-Dealer's Edge-

In blackjack the online dealer has one main advantage over the other players. Most people don't know this but it is an important one. If the player and the dealer tie on 17 or 18, no money changes hands. If they tie on 19, 20 or 21, no money changs hands. But if they tie on 22, 23 or 24 or any total over 21 the online dealer wins the players bet even though it was a tie. Anytime you break or bust the dealer wins, even if it was a tie. Without this one feature of the game, the house could not make a profit against any half decent blackjack player in the world and blackjack tables would be taken out of every casino in the world.
