Craps-
Pass and Pass Plus Free Odds
|
-Pass-
A player who bets that the shooter will win
is called a right or front-line bettor. They collect from
the house when the shooter either rolls a natural (7 or 11)
on the come-out or repeats a point of 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10
before rolling a 7. The house pays 1-1, meaing the bettor
wins as much as he wagered. The bettor loses when the come-out
roll is a craps (2,3, or 12), or if the shooter rolls a point
and then sevens-out before the point re-occurs.
The house edge on pass bets is 1.41 percent. With quick naturals
and come-out craps, the average decision at a craps table
takes around 3 turns. The pass bet can produce some of the
more entertaining and productive betting systems.
It is really only smart to bet pass before the come-out when
the 7 and 11 are on the shooter's side, unlike when there
is a point and the 7 is your enemy.
To bet on "pass", you place your chips on the section
marked "pass" or "pass line", or sometimesit's
known as "line" or "win".
-Pass Plus Free Odds-
A player with a bet on pass can supplement it
with a bet at free odds after the shooter rolls a come-out
point. A player who bets at free-odds recieves exactly what
the point is worth. The house recieves no percentage from
this supplementary bet.

This reduces the vig to .85 percent - or 85
cents on $100. Some online casinos offer free double odds,
which allows you to bet twice as much on free odds as on the
pass line. This reduces the house vig to only .61 percent.
The free-odds bet can be made or removed after he point is
established but before a decision had been met with the 7
or the point reoccuring. We don't recommend removal, since
percentages are are more dependable than hunches, and free
odds helps percentages greatly.
Make sure you know the gambling site's rules concerning free
odds before betting.
