Tips & Strategies

Below are our tips and strategies for the major online casino games. Keep these techniques in mind when you wager online. We also recommend that you click on the links (on the left) to learn more about each game.

Baccarat - The leisurely pace of Baccarat gives even an inexperienced gambler ample time for mental arithmetic. As such Bacarat presents more favorable possibilities than other online games. Although the Banker has the odds in his favor; those odds are very slightly in his favor. A good strategy for the gambler might begin with betting series as both a two-bet and three-bet paroli. Beginning with a bet of two units, the gambler lets the four chips ride after the first succesful bet. If this second bet wins, the gambler withdraws four units, letting the other four ride. If that third bet wins, the procedure begins all over again, a profit of 10 units having been pocketed.

Blackjack - The basic tactics are as follows:
Hard Hands: These are hands in which no Aces appear or, if present, are valued at 1 point each. Doubling Down: Double the bet whenever the original hand totals 11. When holding 10, double only if the dealer shows neither a 10-point card nor an Ace. With a count of 9, double only when the dealer shows 6 or less.
Splitting Pairs: Always split Aces and eights. Never split fives or tens.

Craps - If you know the house rules and the true odds, you might want to try two-bet parolis both on Pass and on supplementary bets at free odds. The arithmetic on a Free Odds paroli can become confusing, since it is not always possible to bet the entire proceeds of one winning bet on the second half of the series. As such when the time comes for the second half of that paroli, bet whatever portion of the stack the dealer will accept.

Keno - This game consists of a random process in which a machine called a goose blows twenty of eighty numbered plastic balls into two transparent tubes (this is done electronically online). As each ball materializes, its number appears in lights on the screen. There are 80 numbers in total so if only 20 numbers turn up in a game, 60 do not. So the odds against the appearance of an individual number are 3-1. Unfortunately the house pays only 2-1. Due to the aweome house edge (around 25 percent) we recommend that you avoid this game. However if you are keen on playing this game, then you should play the cheapest ticket that will qualify you for a substantial payoff. The combinations and king tickets do not really increase your odds much and thus you should avoid those tickets.

Roulette - The house percentages are quite high; as such try not to indulge in this game (you will get a better payout in some other games such as Blackjack). Always pick the European version of this game as opposed to the American version. Roulette should be played on an even-money proposition - Red of Black, High or Low, Even or Odd. The odds are a bit better on an even-money proposition.

Slots - Slots are the easiest game to play; as such it is also the most profitable game for the casino. The house percentage averages around 25%. Slots is a game which should be avoided due to the fact that the house take is too large, and the game operates entirely at random. The main thing to remember is that if you do want to throw a bit of money in this game then learn when to walk away. Don't keep spending money in the hopes that the next spin will be a big payoff. In the same manner, when you do win something, take your winnings and walk away.

Video Poker - Video Poker comes in straight and progressive versions. On the progressive version, the royal flush is the hand that wins the giant progressive jackpot - but only if the player places the maximum bet. Therefore on progressive versions, you should be prepared to place the maximum bet otherwise you will be left with lower payoffs on even flushes and full houses for no reason.

The key thing to remember about Video Poker is if you draw a pair of face cards and three other face cards of the same suit, you may want to go for the royal flush; however you should not do so. The chances of getting one of the cards are quite slim; you would have better percentages going for the full house or four of a kind.
