Basic Video Poker
You are not playing against other players,
you're playing against a computer. Basically, you have to
receive some form of paying hand or you lose money. Video
poker is basic draw poker, described as such:
- Wager an amount of coins, usually 1 to 5
- You are dealt 5 cards
- You may hold or discard any or all cards you wish. To
keep a card, you click on the "HOLD" button underneath
the card
- Once you have decided on the cards you will keep, you
click "DEAL"
- The cards you did not "hold" are replaced with
new, randomly chosen cards
- If you have any combinations in your hand, you receive
a payout
Here are descriptions of the most popular video
poker games:
Jacks or Better
The most popular video poker game in the world. You have to
get a pair of jacks or better to win any prize.
To win, you have to receive more than a pair
of jacks. You will receive a payout for your hand depending
on the pay schedule.

Better, see payout schedules.
Deuces Wild
In Deuces Wild, all twos are wild cards. Basically,
twos can be any card you want it to be. You can assign it a
suit and a value. In this game, you have a better chance of
getting a good hand. This means the casino has to tighten the
payout schedule. Three of a kind or better is what you need
to win anything.

Jokers Wild
Pretty much all that can be said about Joker's
Wild, is that you are playing with a 53-card deck, because of
the addition of a joker, which can be used as any card you want,
choosing suit and value. This means you have a better chance
of getting a good hand, but you have to receive two pair or
better to get paid.
